He is God

He is the First and Last,
The Beginning and the End!

He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!
He is the Architect of the universe and the Manager of all times.
He always was, He always is, and He always will be ...
Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and never Undone!

He was bruised and brought healing!
He was pierced and eased pain!
He was persecuted and brought freedom!
He was dead and brought life!
He is risen and brings power!
He reigns and brings Peace!
The world can't understand Him,
The armies can't defeat Him,
The schools can't explain Him, and The leaders can't ignore Him.
Herod couldn't kill Him, The Pharisees couldn't confuse Him, and the people
couldn't hold Him!
Nero couldn't crush Him, Hitler couldn't silence Him,
The New Age can't replace Him, and "Oprah" can't explain Him away!

He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.
He is goodness, kindness, gentleness, and God.
He is holy, righteous, mighty, powerful, and pure.

His ways are right,
His word is eternal,
His will is unchanging, and His mind is on me.
He is my Savior,
He is my guide, and He is my peace!
He is my Joy,
He is my comfort,
He is my Lord, and He rules my life!

I serve Him because His bond is love,
His burden is light, and His goal for me is abundant life.
I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise,
the power of the powerful,
the ancient of days, the ruler of rulers, the leader of leaders, the
overseer of the overcomers, and is to come. And if that seems impressive to
you, try this for size.

His goal is a relationship with ME!
He will never leave me,
never forsake me,
never mislead me,
never forget me,
never overlook me and
never cancel my appointment in His appointment book!

When I fall, He lifts me up!
When I fail, He forgives!
When I am weak, He is strong!
When I am lost, He is the way!
When I am afraid, He is my courage!
When I stumble, He steadies me!
When I am hurt, He heals me!
When I am broken, He mends me!
When I am blind, He leads me!
When I am hungry, He feeds me!
When I face trials, He is with me!
When I face persecution, He shields me!
When I face problems, He comforts me!
When I face loss, He provides for me!
When I face Death, He carries me Home!

He is everything for everybody, everywhere, every time, and every way.
He is God, He is faithful. I am His, and He is mine!
My Father in heaven can whip the father of this world.
So, if you're wondering why I feel so secure, understand this...
He said it and that settles it.
God is in control, I am on His side,
and that means all is well with my soul.

Everyday is a blessing, for GOD Is!

What a Beautiful World

I think God had fun when He created the Earth, don't you? He created so many different kinds of beauty, and I'm trying to see as much of it as I can...while I can!

One of the most beautiful places in the world happens to be only 1 1/2 hours from my home. It is Yosemite National Park. If you have never been, I recommend that you go the first opportunity that you have, especially if you live in California . You will NOT be disappointed.

The snow is melting in the mountains right now, and I've heard that the water falls in Yosemite are raging. So, I got up early this morning, and took off by myself to see. They are!! They were so beautiful. I hiked to the bottom of Bridalveil Falls. It was almost like standing in the shower. My camera lens got covered with water drops and I had to wipe it several times. You will see in the slide show below, that one of the pictures shows the water drops. The other picture at the bottom of the falls shows how much of a "shower" it was giving off.

I also hiked to Mirror Lake. I had never been up to Mirror Lake before, and I was not disappointed. It was beautiful!

The weather was perfect. The sun was shining, but it was still cool enough for a light jacket.

There is a $20 entrance fee into the park, but a yearly pass is $40. Since I have friends from out of state coming to visit this spring and summer, I bought the yearly pass. I know they will want to go to Yosemite, and I will surely get my money's worth.

I took about a kabillion incredible pictures, but I could not show them all. Here are a few of them. Enjoy.....

Shoes and a Sure Foundation

Isaiah 28:16

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation...

2 Timothy 2:19

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.

What is the definition of foundation? This is what I found in the unabridged dictionary on line.

foun·da·tion - Spelled Pronunciation[foun-dey-shuhn] –noun

1. the basis or groundwork of anything: the moral foundation of both society and religion.
2. the natural or prepared ground or base on which some structure rests.
3. the lowest division of a building, wall, or the like, usually of masonry and partly or wholly below the surface of the ground.
4. the act of founding, setting up, establishing, etc.: a policy in effect since the foundation.
5. the state of being founded.

I have a true and sure foundation!! My maternal Grandfather found the truth of the Acts 2:38 message at a young age. Shortly after, he and Grandma took their children and began preaching all over the state of Louisiana. He preached in many brush harbor meetings, and any place they needed revival. The family met with all kinds of obstacles and fought many evil spirits in order to preach the truth...but that's another blog!! LOL He later founded the church in Winnsboro, LA which is now pastored by my uncle.

I am third generation Pentecost, and was provided with a true and sure foundation, but I, myself, had to build on that foundation with my own consecration to God. I had to develop my own prayer life and convictions, and receive the revelation of the truth for myself. One cannot stand solely on the "religion" of one's parents or grandparents. It must be found for ourselves, but we are surely blessed if we have a heritage to back us up!! I am thankful that God chose my family to be part of the "chosen few". Because of the foundation of truth in my life, the devil has been able to "shake" the foundation of my soul with many trials and heartaches, but with the grace of God, he has not been able to make the temple come crashing down. Thanks be only to God!!

So...on a lighter note!! The Bible says that our bodies are the temple of God.

1 Corinthians 6:19

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Well, this temple needs a good foundation, doesn't it? That's the reason I LOVE shoes!! See, now you ladies that are married, have the perfect excuse to provide your husbands when he says..."another pair of black shoes? don't you have 20 pair of black shoes already?"...

The foundation of this temple is our feet, and our feet can't hurt, or the rest of the temple is miserable. Also, the foundation needs to look good, or the rest of the temple just won't look finished.

Shoes provide a covering for our feet. They protect our feet from the elements, and the ground that we walk on. But if shoes are necessary, they might as well be cute, right? And they need to match our outfits. I have never seen a pair of shoes that would go with every thing in my closet!! A man says he only needs 3 pair of shoes...brown, black and tennies... BAH...even men need more pairs of shoes than that!! How can they provide their temple with a good foundation with only 3 pairs of shoes? They can't!!

So, I say...let's go buy a pair of shoes today!! Have fun!!

Home again, Jiggity Jig...

WOW!! Did we ever have a GREAT trip...but then, we always do. Don't you all wish you were single so you could join us? ...Well...almost?? LOL

I went from Fresno to Las Vegas to Newark, then Newark to London, London to Paris, Paris to Newark, Newark to Las Vegas to Fresno, and never had a delayed or cancelled flight, and made it all the way home with all of my luggage. Now, was that the work of God, or what?? It did take me 27 hours to get home though, between airplanes and airports, flights and layovers. I am just now getting over the "jet lag". Thank God, I don't have to go to work until Monday!!

I left Fresno on Monday, March 24 around 2pm and reached Newark, NJ at 12:30am. My luggage and I made it intact with no problems. The only problem I had, was getting to the hotel that I had booked. My cell phone had gone dead, and I didn't have the hotel's phone number with me. I am usually more prepared than that, but I guess with all of the excitement in my life before I left, I wasn't as prepared as usual. I was to meet Sis. Debbie Saiz, but as I said before, my cell phone was dead and I couldn't call her. I finally made it to the hotel around 2:30am. We slept in, and went to the airport around 3:00pm on Tuesday to meet with the others, and to catch our flight that was leaving at 7:00pm for Gatwick, London.

There were only 17 of us on the trip this time. Usually, there are close to, or over, 100 people on these trips. Hawaii was the other exception. We had 50 on that trip. It doesn't matter how many people go, the trips are always so much fun!! I am now the only person who has been on all of the trips. What a distinction, HUH? LOL

We stayed in London until Saturday, March 29th, then took the Eurostar over to Paris. There is NEVER enough time to see and do everything that I would like...but I guess that means I just have to go back!! LOL Actually, this was the second time for me to go to London, and I could go several more times before I see and do the same thing over again. There is just that much to see and do!! I only got to touch the tip of the surface in Paris, but loved every minute of it!

It was cold and rainy almost every day that we were there...London and Paris. I think the sun was out a time or two, but not for long. It "dampened" our trip, but did not "dampen" our spirits!! We just unfolded our umbrellas, and kept on going. I think I would rather it be a bit cold and rainy, than hot and humid, anyway.

There were 3 young men on this trip that I hung out with a lot. I guess that is because, since I have 3 sons, I feel most comfortable???...or maybe it's because the young ones don't like to be sitting, and waiting, and waiting and sitting, and neither do I. We want to be OUT seeing things while we can...I don't know, but for whatever reasons I "adopted" 3 more sons this trip. LOL Two of them were the age of my youngest son, Ryan, and the other one was the age of my twin sons, Aaron and Daron. They were very generous to let their "Mom" hang out with them. Actually, we all had a very good time.

Before I left I got a new camera. Although I had practiced with it a bit, I still was not very familiar with all the settings, etc., so I got some so-so pictures, but I still was able to get several really great pictures!! I have attached a slide show of a lot of my pictures, and even though it is long....(sorry) it is only a smidgen of the pictures I took. It was hard for me to choose just a few to post. If it gets too boring, you don't have to look at all of them.

Have a great weekend, everyone!!

P.S. My parents are doing better. Thank you all for praying. Dad was never as sick as Mom, and he is mostly well. Mom is still sick (but better) and having a really hard time getting any energy back. We would appreciate you continuing to pray for her. Thanks...
